Bay of Plenty Report

Opening day in my area was thwart with high discoloured rivers pretty well throughout the area but for the knowledgeable few that fish thisaway still found one or two smaller tributaries of the main rivers that produced some very nice fish a couple of my friends and myself included .

Since then once the rivers cleared the fishing is nothing short of amazing with high fish stocks seemingly everywhere.

The Motu is producing very good Browns in remarkably good nick and the other rivers are providing both Rainbows and Browns in equally good order regular catches exceeding 20 aday is common place just over the past 3 days a fellow guide visiting from Turangi accounted for 11 large Motu browns and over 30 Waioeka fish both Rainbows and Browns and we were'nt exactly killing ourselves by rushing madly about-----you know how it is ----a fish here a cup of coffee there----just 3 casual and thoroughly relaxing days.

Going on the current situation this summer is going tobe magical reports from the Whirinaki and the Rangitaikei are equally as encouraging.
Over on the lakes all is pointing to a good summer of fishing with the fish being in very good condition and plenty of them.

So there it is absolutely all good news bring on the CICADAS.
Tightlines

Graham.
