Waikato Trout Fishing Farmstay

Friendly farmstay accommodation on the banks of the Waihou and Waimakariri Rivers is now available. These rivers are renowned for their plentiful stocks of good sized trout.

The farmstay is situated on rolling countryside and is only five minutes from Tirau which boasts a large variety of  unique shops, cafes and restaurants.

This is an excellent place to use as your base - sightsee during the day and relax and fish later. It is a working dairy farm with 225 cows on 75 hectares of attractive, rolling country.

Te Aho Lodge, Turangi

A quiet secluded retreat close to some of Tongariro's best fishing pools and with direct access to the riverside walking track. Purpose designed and equipped for maximum comfort. Decks and outdoor area with gas BBQ and amid beautiful gardens that capture all day sun.

Sleeps 8: 3 queens beds with ensuite and 2 single beds. The 3 queen rooms with ensuites have access from a verandah that is attached to the house, and the single room is inside the main house.

Facilities: Fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, TV, stereo, portable gas heating, gas BBQ.
