Holiday Angling Heaven!
Welcome to the festive season. Hopefully this finds you on a well deserved break, and with time to enjoy the amazing fishing on offer.
If you're working through, make sure you take a break over the statutory holidays and weekends to get out on the water and decompress.

For those lucky enough to be on leave, make sure you get your fill while you're away from the desk or tools and have the time on your hands.
Staying at home, or travelling around over the break, remember that pretty much every stream and river you cross in North and South islands is an angling adventure waiting to be discovered.
No matter whether you plan on exploring new water or fishing your local secret spot, we hope you get amongst the great action we've had so far this season.
We've got abridged reports over the Christmas and New Year period, but all the information including links to live weather and river flows is provided below to help you plan you next angling adventure.
We'll be back to normal reports in mid January. Hope to see you on the water.

For any anglers visiting or new to the Wellington Fish & Game region, and have had the Hutt River on their bucket list, we've designed a dedicated brochure to help you be successful on this exceptional but challenging piece of water.
Although the fishery holds high numbers of trout, the Hutt isn't an easy river to fish. However, the rewards are exceptional with large hard fighting browns the prize.
