Exciting Junior Clay Target Shooting Experience – Win Your Spot!
We’re thrilled to announce an exclusive competition for our Hawke's Bay Junior Game Bird Licence holders! Eight lucky winners will get the chance to take part in a thrilling and challenging simulated field clay target shoot on Sunday, 15th June 2025, hosted in partnership with Tunanui Station.
Thanks to Tunanui Station’s incredible setup and the arrival of cutting-edge clay target throwers (capable of launching clays over 200 metres!), participants will experience a shooting environment that closely mimics driven pheasant or waterfowl shoots. Expect high, fast, incoming, and crossing targets—designed to test skill and deliver serious excitement.
Get ready for some fast and furious shooting action, including flurries of multiple targets launched over a line of shooters for up to 3 minutes—just like the intensity of a driven pheasant shoot.
Event Details
Location: Tunanui Station, Sherenden
Date: Sunday, 15th June 2025

The day kicks off with a sausage sizzle, followed by an event and safety briefing. From there, juniors will head to the first drive, each accompanied by a dedicated minder. Parents and caregivers are welcome to watch from a safe distance.
Shooters will compete in pairs during each round of clays. After the first drive, we’ll move on to a more challenging second drive. Once both drives are complete, we’ll return to base for refreshments and a debrief.
