Entering a photo is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions
Submitting a photo to the ReWild Snap & Share: The Fish & Game Licence Photo Competition 2026-27 ("the Competition") and/or voting in the public vote for the overall winner is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions").
1. Promoter: The promoter is the New Zealand Fish & Game Council ("Fish & Game" or "the promoter"). The sponsor is Kilwell Sports Limited ("the sponsor").
2. Eligibility: The Competition is open to anyone who lives in New Zealand, except councillors, volunteers and employees of any Fish & Game council, employees of the sponsor, members of the judging panel, and the immediate families of any of these people. Fish & Game reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries.
3. How to enter: To enter, upload your photo through the competition entry page on the Fish & Game website (www.fishandgame.org.nz). Your photo must meet these Terms and Conditions. Entries will not be accepted by any other means.
4. Photo submission period: The Competition runs for four calendar months. Photos can be submitted up to midnight on the last day of each competition month. Any photo submitted after that time will be considered in the following month's competition. Photos submitted after midnight on the last day of the final month are not eligible. The promoter may change the competition period at its discretion.
5. Photo requirements: Photos must meet reasonable standards of decency and the following requirements:

5.9 Fish & Game may use the name and image of any winning photographer for promotional purposes.
Fish & Game has sole discretion to decide whether a photo meets these requirements.
6. Number of entries: You may submit one photo per month. A photo that has been submitted cannot be submitted again in a later month of the Competition.
7. How to win: Each monthly winner will be chosen by a judging panel appointed by the promoter, based on subject matter, technical quality and appeal to licence holders. The ideal shot will include participation in freshwater fishing and/or the catch. Judges will look for diversity, originality and creativity of composition. Judging will be anonymous.
The four monthly winners will be the finalists for the grand prize. The overall winner will be the finalist with the most votes when voting closes.
The promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into about the judging or organisation of the Competition.
8. Voting period: There is one public vote, held after the final month of the Competition, to decide the overall winner. There is no public voting on monthly entries. Voting will open at the start of the month after the Competition closes, at Fish & Game's discretion, and will close in the middle of that month.

10. Number of votes: A voter may vote once for each finalist photo, and may vote for as many of the finalist photos as they like. Finalists may vote for their own photo.
11. Soliciting votes: Finalists may share their photo or the Fish & Game post on social media and ask friends and family to vote. Where there is large-scale voting, the promoter will investigate to make sure there has been no foul play. The promoter reserves the right to discount any votes it considers invalid, or to disqualify the entrant.

If the winner cannot be contacted after seven days, the prize will be given to the finalist with the next highest number of votes who can be contacted on the same terms. If there is a tie, the winner will be decided by drawing lots.
13. Prizes: Each monthly winner will receive a $250 voucher from the sponsor, to be redeemed directly with the sponsor and subject to the voucher's terms and conditions.
